A native of White Plains, New York, Kevin Young has always been passionate about understanding the body and its connection to movement. He began his exploration of movement through athletics at an early age, later discovering that dance was where he could truly excel and use his talents to inspire and uplift the youth of New York. A native of White Plains, New York, Kevin Young has always been passionate about understanding the body and its connection to movement. He began his exploration of movement through athletics at an early age, later discovering that dance was where he could truly excel and use his talents to inspire and uplift the youth of New York. Kevin launched his career at Dr. Kenneth B. Clark Academy in Dobbs Ferry, NY, where he served as a Teaching Assistant with a focus on Transition for Special Education. During his time there, he was appointed Director of Cobra Performing Arts, a vibrant drumline and dance team located in the heart of Harlem, NY. Over the past decade, Kevin developed various dance techniques and styles, which he used to give Cobra Performing Arts a distinctive identity. His commitment to performance and community outreach for underprivileged youth continues to inspire all those around him.
In January 2019, he began teaching a new dance team based in Brooklyn. In 2022, Kevin took a significant step forward by founding his own program, Young and Limitless Dance, in collaboration with Magic Soul Academy in Hartford, Connecticut. This initiative reflects his dedication to empowering young dancers, drummers, and fostering their potential.
